...Britney Spears has agreed to strip off for a magazine cover.
She will appear topless, wearing just a just a necklace gift from husband Kevin Federline on the upcoming cover of US fashion magazine Allure.
The singer has also confessed her six-month marriage to Kevin has been full of challenging times reports IOL.com.
She said: "We hit a little bit of reality, hardcore, after the first three weeks. But we handled it fine, and now things are starting to go really smooth."

...Dee Snider, the heavy metal star whose 1984 hit ?We're Not Gonna Take It? saluted teenage rebellion, said he will be at Hamburg Area High School's annual talent show next month when students plug in their amplifiers and let loose.
School administrators had threatened to bar student rock bands from taking part in the talent show because of the potential for injuries caused by moshing, a form of dancing in which participants slam into each other.
Snider, now a disc jockey with Philadelphia rock station WMMR-FM, heard about the controversy and ranted on air about it. School officials eventually backed down, and Snider helped arrange for a security company to work the show.

...Melodic Rock reports: The following story is brought to you with great pleasure. A long time contact of mine in LA sent this through today - eager to pass on his experience with the legendary Velvet Revolver/ex-Guns N Roses guitarist Slash.
My friend writes: "I was eating at Casa Vega restaurant in Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles yesterday with my best friend. I was trying to cheer her up because her 19 year old daughter has a serious substance abuse problem and won't listen to anyone. Sitting at the table next to us was Slash from Velvet Revolver/Guns 'n' Roses, with his small child. After a little debate as if we should bother Slash, she asked him to please call her daughter on her cell phone because he obviously had beaten whatever demons he had in the past and maybe the kid would listen to him. Without hesitation Slash asked my friend a couple of questions and left a message for her on the daughters' phone. The daughter has not been answering her phone or returning calls. The daughter returned the calls today and had the first pleasant conversation with her mom in ages.

...The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers slapped an Illinois watering hole with a copyright-infringement lawsuit on Monday, after it was learned that the Led Zeppelin classic "Whole Lotta Love" was performed there by a cover band back in October. Each year, ASCAP files an average of 200 lawsuits against businesses that "present musical entertainment" to the public without permission, an attorney representing the organization said. ASCAP has issued licenses to more than 100,000 music venues nationwide; one is required if a bar or club wants to bring in a cover band or DJ to perform, for example.

...Rod Stewart has added himself to the line-up for VH-1's "Save the Music" benefit show. Those on the bill include Jon Bon Jovi, Queen Latifah and Match Box Twenty's Rob Thomas. The concert will be the finale for a week of "Save the Music" events in New York City. Over $30 million has been donated to public school music program by the "Save the Music" Foundation. The show will be taped on April 11th and will air on VH-1 on Sunday April 17th.

...Too bad Paris Hilton, Tommy Lee and Pamela Anderson didn't have their hearings in a British court as A British judge has ruled that a sex tape involving **** Jagger's daughter and her boyfriend can't be broadcast. Model Elizabeth Jagger and her boyfriend, Calum Best were caught fooling around by a closed circuit television last month in a club. The 20-year-old Jagger (who's the daughter of **** and Jerry Hall) had sought the injunction against the manager of the nightclub. The judge has ruled Jagger had a legitimate expectation of privacy and has barred the broadcasting or publication of the footage and this includes any stills taken as well.

...Britney Spears was thrown out of two Beverly Hills restaurants because she refused to leave her dog outside.
The singer and husband Kevin Federline were asked to leave Euro-Asian eatery Crustacean, because her pet dog Bit Bit's presence would have broken health and safety regulations.
The couple then headed to the Trattoria Amici Restaurant, but left after a waiter explained dogs are not permitted in the establishment

...According to a posting on The Dio Message Board, RAINBOW may reform for a series of live shows after all. Word has it that Ronnie James Dio's wife Wendy's management company Niji Management may be looking at getting the members of the group back together for a number of live appearances. The lineup at this stage looks to be as follows: Ronnie James Dio (vocals), Ritchie Blackmore (guitar), Jimmy Bain (bass) and Vinny Appice (to replace the late Cozy Powell).

...A trial date has been set for the lead guitarist of the internationally known rock group RUSH, who is facing felony charges for an altercation with Collier County (FL.) deputies at the Ritz-Carlton on New Year's Eve 2004. Alex Zivojinovich, who is accused of pushing a female deputy down a hotel stairwell and spitting his blood on a male officer, is scheduled to stand trial for assault charges on May 16.

...Believe it or not when that story broke last month, some seriously though Bono would be a great choice to be head of the World Bank.
A lobby group founded by Bono has put out statement saying while the singer was flattered, " There are no circumstances in which Bono would be nominated or accept the World Bank job."

...Journey's using a controversial method to get their new album out this summer. The band will include the new CD with every concert ticket sold. It's not a new thing as Prince did that last year with his "Musicology" album. The giveaways were counted as sales and the record climbed the charts. However, other record companies started to complain so now artists have to ask their fans if they want the CD with their tickets - and those who say "yes" will be counted as sales

...The front door of rock legend OZZY OSBOURNE's childhood home in Birmingham is to be sold because the current owner is fed-up with fans defacing it.
Ozzy grew up in Lodge Road, Aston, before rising to fame. His old front door now bears messages from fans. Ali Mubarrat, who owns the house, says over the years it has become a pilgrimage destination. And he is now considering auctioning the door on eBay.
Mr Mubarrat said: "I need to change it on the wife's orders. But I don't know what to do with it. "Maybe someone who is a great fan, I could pass it on to them, or I might put it on eBay and auction it and give the money to charity"

...Paul McCartney and wife Heather have donated a painting from their private stash to the New York City firefighters. The painting is of a Mack truck once operated by the members of the FDNY's Engine Co. 33 in Manhattan. McCartney saw the 911 attacks while sitting on the tarmac at New York's JFK airport waiting to head to London. The painting will make the rounds to all of the firehouses in New York City.

...Good thing Rod Stewart has a successful recording career - it helps to pay for his marriages and divorces. Rod has proposed to his girlfriend of 5-years, 33 year old Penny Lancaster. Stewart (60) got down on one knee high atop the Eiffel Tower in Paris to propose.
The couple will talk wedding plans once Stewarts divorce from model Rachel Hunter is in the books. Stewart's record company BMG says Rod plans to marry this year and prefers Scotland.

...Danny Joe Brown, a founding member of southern rockers MOLLY HATCHET, and singer and co-writer of the band's biggest hits from the late '70s, died on Thursday at his home in Davie of complications from pneumonia. He was 53. The lone voice in a six-piece band that featured three lead guitarists, Mr. Brown, a Jacksonville native, matched the clamor of Molly Hatchet's music with a big, muscular growl on songs such as 'Flirtin' With Disaster', 'Whiskey Man' and 'Gator Country'. Mr. Brown co-founded Molly Hatchet in Jacksonville in 1975. The band adopted a hard-rocking sound inspired in part by the boogie and blues of Southern rock band LYNYRD SKYNYRD. Molly Hatchet also gained a reputation for partying hard, and after 2 million-selling studio albums and constant touring, Mr. Brown quit the band in 1980, citing exhaustion. He put out a solo album and rejoined Molly Hatchet in the 1980s. Visitation is 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Panciera Memorial Home, 4200 Hollywood Blvd., in Hollywood. Services are 11:30 p.m. Tuesday at Cooper City Church of God, 9191 Stirling Rd., Cooper City, with burial at Lauderdale Memorial Park in Fort Lauderdale.

...Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne will host a new controversial British talk show ? and they hope to secure exclusive and frank interviews with a host of celebrities including pal Elton John.
Ozzy and his outspoken wife are set to front the new television programme for U.K. network ITV1 next year.
It will be aired after 10 p.m. to take into account the likely bad language and their planned no-holds barred line of questioning.

...Rapper 50 CENT is disappointed nobody has tried to shoot him while he's been out driving - because he spent $200,000 bulletproofing two of his cars.

...SIR **** JAGGER made a surprise appearance on stage in LONDON with RONNIE WOOD last night (March 13).Playing songs from across his career at the Royal Drury Lane Theatre with his Ronnie Wood And Fiends Show, Wood performed with guests including Beverly Knight and Andrea Corr, before inviting his Rolling Stones bandmate to join him.

...Pop superstar BRITNEY SPEARS is fighting for new laws in her adopted California to keep the paparazzi from being too intrusive.
The TOXIC singer has become prey for Hollywood's top photographers and now she wants to meet with Governor ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER to discuss a change in the law - to keep prying snappers away from her private business.
She says, "I want to talk to Arnold Schwarzenegger and see if there could be a law where, you know, if you go to special events and stuff, it's fine for them to be there, but in your personal time, it's stalking."

...Singer/songwriter Billy Joel who was scheduled to play two concerts this month, has postponed at least one of the dates and entered rehab for alcohol abuse.
"Following a recent bout of severe gastro-intestinal distress, Billy Joel has checked himself into an undisclosed rehabilitation facility for treatment of alcohol abuse," said a statement issued by his publicist. "Mr. Joel has asked that his privacy be respected."

...Words from The Beatles' 'All You Need Is Love', penned by John Lennon, are to be written on the walls of Luton airport.
The song title - "All you need is love" - was voted the greatest words of all time in an Internet poll run by Luton First, a body charged with promoting Luton. "All you need is love" proved more popular with the public than lines from the Bible and those uttered by Winston Churchill.
Paul Kehoe, Managing Director of Luton Airport, told reporters: "The winning quotation is a great choice as the words will send out an immediate, positive and life-affirming message to all visitors arriving in the UK at London Luton Airport".
Tony Edwards, PR for Luton First, said: "It was interesting to see that the title of a 1960s song should be in the forefront of public imagination more than 40 years on."

...Veteran R&B group the O'Jays protested about Justin Timberlake's involvement in their induction to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Eddie Levert, 62, said they were unhappy about Timberlake inducting them into the Hall.
He said: "We protested, kicked and stomped. But it is out of our control."
His bandmate Walter Williams, 61, added: "No offence to Justin, because he deserves the respect he has earned, but I could think of a few people who know more about our pain and suffering and history."
